FAQs

Faq_arrow How much does a Website cost?

Cookie-cutter Websites can be purchased for as little as $50 a month. Be careful though; don't expect much business value or support from one. Custom Websites can far exceed $1 million dollars -- just look at Amazon.com or eBay.com.

The cost of a custom Website depends on your business needs, available resources, and level of involvement. Before cost can be determined however, you must decide what you want your website to do for your business (sell product, capture leads, grow your social media network, publish news, blog, etc.).

Similarly, you must then determine how the Website will meet those objectives and take note to all that's involved. Only then can labor efforts, software scope, and investment price be properly (and honestly) calculated.

Don't forget to check out our website strategic planning & coaching to learn what's involved or take a peek at our unique approach to affordable website help.

Faq_arrow I want a better Website, but don't want to spend much money, what should I do?

Good question. First ask yourself what "better" means, then do the same with "much." This will help qualify your expectations. Assuming you'd rather do things yourself, put a price tag on your time and compare it against your time away from other business tasks. If it's feasible to go it alone, determine how your Website can be "better."

Then, if you have the proper tools and development experience, make the necessary changes.

For help deciding what to change, scour the Web for ideas or check out our Website Lead Capture Assessments or our Website Purchase Process Assessments for improvement recommendations. For periodic advice, promotions and best practice articles, subscribe to our free newsletter.

Faq_arrow Will a Web Design Firm write the copy for me?

Not all Web design/development companies keep a dedicated writer on staff (note: we do). Most Web companies will outsource this or require you to provide all copy. Make sure you find out well before a quote is issued or expect the investment price to increase. Find out how our Website Strategic Planning Service makes writing influential Website copy easy.

Faq_arrow What's the first thing I should do when I'm ready to purchase a website or website help?

You must first determine if a Website or the enhancements will actually help your business. For example, determine if it will help you sell product, capture leads, save your business money (streamline procedures), recruit employees and/or support your customers profitably? If you cannot expect any ROI, don't invest much. Need help with this? Call us today at 1 (630) 788-9969. Consultations are free.

Faq_arrow Is it expensive to hire a consultant?

That's a tough question. Expensive compared to what? When comparing consulting rates, price depends on what the specialty, intangibles included, and the consultant's experience.

For example, a Web professional who can write HTML and author source code efficiently may lack business and marketing experience, and might cost less than a professional that does both. Someone who specializes in web apps and systems integration might be much more expensive than a graphic design consultant.

Keep this in mind: it's always expensive to hire a consultant who lacks the skills and guidance your project requires, so make sure they have the required skills and understand your business needs.

If this question pertains to us, we are much more expensive than amateurs, but less expensive than first-class traveling consultants. Want to learn more about our skillsets? Check out our website portfolio or see what makes up our brand formula.

Faq_arrow How can you guys help me if everything is good on my end?

Congratulations. You have no peaks or valleys in your P&L statements, you have no competition and your stuff sells itself. Everyday your job is stress free, you leave right at 5pm and there is no way anything or anyone can improve your business efficiency, profit margin, or website sales and lead capture conversion rate. Everything is good.

If this is all true, we cannot help you. If your business and life isn't that perfect and if you want proof that Website problems exist, try this 30-second exercise:

Subtract the number of monthly website leads (or sales) from your monthly "unique" visitors. That's most likely, but with exception, the amount of lost customer acquisition opportunities. Chances are it's about 85.00-99.99% percent of your total traffic. Are you happy with that much lost opportunity? Call us today: 1 (630) 788-9969. We can help.
